Learning how to write reports about a scientific experiment.

Kia ora.

We are having a science fair this term so we needed to learn how to write a report about a scientific experiment. Our teachers chopped a piece of scientific writing into bits and we had to sort them out into the right order. We had to match the structure clues with the correct sentences and paragraphs. It was tricky. When we were finished we used the report to carry out a floating and sinking experiment using Blutack. The Blutack wouldn’t float unless we squeezed  it into the shape of a boat. It was fun. Here is a picture.

Zoofari

Kia ora
On Wednesday and Thursday, we went to the Auckland zoo. We went because our school got chosen to go on Zoofari. We slept in the old elephant house by the tarantulas. We drove down on a bus,
it took about five or six hours. When we were halfway there we stopped to have lunch
and go toilet, after we ate we could play around. When we got to the zoo we unpacked the bus and put all our stuff in the old elephant house.

Me and my friend are doing a poster about a brown kiwi. I went and saw a kiwi at the kiwi house and found out more about kiwis. Two things I found out were that a kiwi egg can take up most of the kiwis body and that kiwis do not have fur on their body they have feathers.

why people should fundraise for homeless people

Have you ever slept outside by the road with nowhere to go or have any shelter? I don't think so. Hi, my name is Rico and I am going to talk to you about why people should fundraise for homeless people, in 2006 the number of homeless was 33,295 people and it started to grow - in 2013 it was 41,075
Thirdly would you ever want to be homeless or have no one by your side to help you with something hard in life. Where do they live, some people live in their cars on the side of the road and even in parks or under bridges, it is very dangerous.
Firstly, it is sad to see people outside starving, cold and needing a home. with no friends and family to protect them. Do you ever think about how long they have been suffering
outside with no money?
So how can they be helped? The Government have given the homeless people some money in Auckland so they can find cheaper houses and to make sure that they can live a longer life and have shelter over their heads
Two, they did not choose to be outside for the rest of their lives without being taught how to protect themselves or how to do anything or anything to help them throughout their lives.
Finally, how can we help them, we need to start fundraising and making a big pot of food to make them feel happier and better than they are now because we all need to live and have a happy life. I hope you will help too so we can make sure everybody has a nice cosy home to go to at the end of the day

                          Mother's Day

Buzz buzz!! Up I was to get ready to go out and have some fun on Sunday with my mum, my sister, and I. I went to go and wake my mum up to get ready for Mother's Day. ‘Happy Mother’s Day ’ I said, she woke up to give me a big hug like a cuddly bear. After a little bit we started to get ready to go and have some fun. We went to get my sister at my Nan’s house. We were ready to go like a pack of wolves finding their prey. We were almost there in Whangarei.

Tink!! A rock hit the window of our car as we were on the way into Whangarei. On our way we saw our Aunty going to have some breakfast. We went to go and get a car park. “Bang bang!!’’ The ground hit the bumper of our car. We jumped out of the car like frogs in a pond. I ran up to my Aunty like a bronco bull and I ran across the road and looked both ways. My Aunty and mum started talking then we hopped away like three rabbits in the meadow.

Off we went to go and have some fun with my mum, my sister and I. First we went to go and have something to eat. Me and my Mum went to get a coffee and an ice chocolate- it was like a cold iceberg. Then we went to go shopping and go look around for a while. My mum went to get her nails done while my Sister and I went to get a drink at Tank. At the end of the day my mum, sister and I went to have some dinner at a place called Woodie’s- me and my mum had a big steak. I ripped up the steak up like a vicious tiger. My sister got a burger sandwich.
