Reading POetry Lesson No 5

Today for reading we had to try and find than similes, as similes and like similes.
Here is my work.

Couplet Poetry

Learn:

1. How to identify rhythm and rhyme in a couplet poem.

2.  What a couplet  is.

Lunchtime showers, wind groans

     2          2 1    1

Grab a parka, hailstones.

  1  1 2            2

Shorts and sandals, bare knees.

   1     1 2          1 1

Up at seven, nil breeze,

1     1 2       1 1

Poetry

I have been learning to do rhythm and rhyme in school. We used nursery rhymes and rewrote them, changing the nouns and names. Here is my version of Hickory, Dickory Dock.
