Kia ora
On Wednesday and Thursday, we went to the Auckland zoo. We went because our school got chosen to go on Zoofari. We slept in the old elephant house by the tarantulas. We drove down on a bus,
it took about five or six hours. When we were halfway there we stopped to have lunch
and go toilet, after we ate we could play around. When we got to the zoo we unpacked the bus and put all our stuff in the old elephant house.
Me and my friend are doing a poster about a brown kiwi. I went and saw a kiwi at the kiwi house and found out more about kiwis. Two things I found out were that a kiwi egg can take up most of the kiwis body and that kiwis do not have fur on their body they have feathers.

why people should fundraise for homeless people
Have you ever slept outside by the road with nowhere to go or have any shelter? I don't think so. Hi, my name is Rico and I am going to talk to you about why people should fundraise for homeless people, in 2006 the number of homeless was 33,295 people and it started to grow - in 2013 it was 41,075
|
Thirdly would you ever want to be homeless or have no one by your side to help you with something hard in life. Where do they live, some people live in their cars on the side of the road and even in parks or under bridges, it is very dangerous.
|
Firstly, it is sad to see people outside starving, cold and needing a home. with no friends and family to protect them. Do you ever think about how long they have been suffering
outside with no money?
|
So how can they be helped? The Government have given the homeless people some money in Auckland so they can find cheaper houses and to make sure that they can live a longer life and have shelter over their heads
|
Two, they did not choose to be outside for the rest of their lives without being taught how to protect themselves or how to do anything or anything to help them throughout their lives.
|
Finally, how can we help them, we need to start fundraising and making a big pot of food to make them feel happier and better than they are now because we all need to live and have a happy life. I hope you will help too so we can make sure everybody has a nice cosy home to go to at the end of the day
